Review by hotel critic
As a wildlife conservationist and safari guide, I'm accustomed to pristine nature rather than urban stays, but my recent culinary escapade at Alabin offered a delightful change of scenery. After a long journey, I was eager to settle in, but my first hiccup occurred upon arrival when the front door was locked and no one was at the reception. Thankfully, two young gentlemen came to my aid, albeit after a long wait, directing me to a nearby restaurant, Big Panda, where I was met with an unexpected charge. The breakfast spread was not only sufficient but offered a glimpse into local flavors. A quaint visit to Grape Central nearby later provided the perfect match to my steak-a thoughtful blend of creative culinary twists. While the service left something to be desired initially, the gastronomic journey, paired with the eclectic dining options nearby like MoMa Bulgarian Food & Wine, makes Alabin worth considering for those looking to explore local cuisine. Despite the rocky start, I left with a satisfied palate and knowledge that culinary innovation flourished here.
